Troels Andersen's works possess an immediate restlessness and wildness. They are a meeting of figurative elements and a fragmented, abstract universe. His inspiration draws from the decadent and libertine Paris of the 1920s, the vibrant, sensual Berlin, and New York's club scene of the freedom-seeking 1980s. This can be seen as a reaction against conformity and a celebration of what it means to be human, with all the ups and downs of life
